Raspberry Pi VR 220 Camera (Lens interchangeable)

Can be taken with telephoto or wide-angle lenses.

The Entaniya VR220 is a customized camera based on the Raspberry Pi Camera V2 to which an “M12/P0.5 lens” can be attached.
The camera can be used with wide-angle lenses, telephoto lenses, and other lenses with different angles of view depending on the purpose, thereby expanding the camera’s range of applications.

For example, if you use the Raspberry Pi Camera V2 and think, “I want to take a wider shot…”, you can use the RP-L165 lens to take a wider shot. you can use the RP-L165, which is a wider angle lens, to take a wider range of images.
Or, if you want to zoom in on the details, you can use the RP-L20 telephoto lens, which allows you to take larger pictures of distant objects.

The Entaniya VR220 is shipped with a 220-degree fisheye lens (RP-L220) attached and in focus.
It can be used immediately as a circumferential fisheye camera with a 220-degree field of view. (Sample photos taken are shown below.)

Three advantages of using VR220

A single camera can capture a wide area (with a 220-degree super wide-angle fisheye lens).
Telephoto lens allows you to take long distance and macro shots
By changing the lens, the camera can be used as a completely different camera.

Sample Image(RP-L220)

This is a sample shot using the RP-L220 (fisheye lens) included with the VR220.

This is an image taken with the RP-L220. It is normal that the image circle does not completely fit into the sensor and the top and bottom of the image are vignetted.
The image circle may not be at the center of the image due to individual differences in the position of the lens socket and sensor.

Due to the structure of the interchangeable lens, dust and dirt may adhere to the sensor. If you are concerned about dust, use a blower to blow off the dust.

Cover glass model for dust protection

This model is equipped with a cover glass to protect the sensor.
Since the terminals and sensor are exposed in the standard version, dust removal requires careful work with a blower or similar tool.
If the lens is not replaced, there is no problem with the standard version.

However, if the lens is replaced frequently or if the camera is used in a dusty environment, dust may adhere to the sensor.
The RP-VC1G comes with a cover glass, so dust and dirt can be wiped off with a cleaning cloth.
This model is recommended for use in dusty locations or when considering long-term use.
